Day 01 -Colombo / Negombo:
On arrival at Colombo Airport you will be picked up by our representative and transferred to Kandy, driving about 3 hours. On the way visit a spice garden in Mawenella to study the different spices Sri Lanka is famous for. In the afternoon start a city tour in our hill capital Kandy, venue of the annual Perahera, including Upper Lake Drive, Market Square, Arts & Crafts centre, Gem Museum, then visit Peradeniya Royal Botanical Gardens, 147 acres in extent: founded in 1374 as a pleasure garden of the kings of Kandy. In the evening visit the famous Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic which arrived on our island the 4th century A.D. when Lord Buddha's Tooth was brought to Sri Lanka hidden in a princess' hair, since then the holy Relic's significance and reputation has grown in Sir Lanka and throughout the Buddhist world. In the evening enjoy the cultural show featuring various dance types of Sir Lanka, and after dinner check in at your hotel in Kandy.
Day 02 - Negombo / Sigiriya / Dambulla:
After breakfast, proceed to the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage where you can watch more than 80 elephants, join the bottle feding of their babies, watch their river bathing, and study more animal activities. Afterwards proceed to Sigiriya and climb this "8th Wonder of the World" Sigiriya Rock Palace built in 5th century A.D. This "Fortress in the Sky" is probably the most fantastic single wonder of the island. It is also known as "Lion Rock" because of the huge lion that used to stand at the entrance to the palace. In the afternoon visit the Dambulla Cave Temple, a vast isolated monad rock 500 feet high, and a mile around the base, here admire the famous Rock or Cave Temple dating from the first Century B.C. Lunch and dinner and overnight stay in a hotel in Sigiriya or Habarana.
Day 03 - Dambulla / Mathale / Kandy:
After breakfast proceed to Kandy, en route visit a spice gardennear Mathale to see the different spices Sri Lanka is famous for. You will be introduced to different spices and shown how some of these spices are grown and processed. On arrival start a city tour in our hill capital Kandy, venue of the annual world-famous Buddhist Perahera. The last stronghold of the Sinhala kings was finally occupied by the British Empire in 1815. Sightseeing includes Upper Lake Drive, Market Square, Arts & Crafts Centre, Gem Museum, and Peradeniya Botanical Gardens, now 147 acres in extent, already founded in 1374 as a pleasure garden of the Kandy kings. Here are more than 5000 species of trees and plants. After lunch, visit the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic - ever since the 4th century A.D, when the Buddha's Tooth was brought to Sri Lanka hidden from sacrilegious hands in an Orissan princess' hair, the Relic has grown in reputation and veneration in Sri Lanka and throughout the Buddhist world. Dinner and overnight stay in a hotel in Kandy.
Day 04 - Kandy / Colombo:
After breakfast proceed to Colombo, after a 3 hours journey commence a city tour in Sri Lanka’s capital, leading you to the busy commercial hubs as well as the tree-lined residential area and Cinnamon Grand. Visit the fort, the former British administrative center and military garrison, Sea-Street, the Goldsmith's quarters in the heart of Pettah, the Bazaar area, where there is also a Hindu Temple with elaborate stone carvings, and the Dutch Church of Wolfendhal dating back to 1749, also visit the BMCH and see the replica of Avukana Buddha, and Independence Square. In the afternoon take your time for shopping in Colombo, visit Mlesna Exquisite Tea Boutique, Cashew Nut Shop, ready-made garment, and the Lanka Ceramics Centre, a place where you can buy Sri Lanka's NORITAKE sets or other ceramic items, visit the ODEL department store, or visit BAREFOOT, HOUSE OF FASHION and BEVERLY HILLS. After dinner at in local restaurant, check in at your hotel.
Day 05 - Colombo Air Port:
After breakfast drive to the airport for departure.
